Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna

Fancy a trip to Royal Albert hall this year? Cirque du Soleil are in town presenting their latest showpiece Amaluna, running until March 2016. Amaluna is a spectacular acrobatic showcase that will captivate audiences. If you are big advocate of women’s contribution throughout history and time then this is certainly for you as it is the central theme for the show. Amaluna is also a celebration of love between a man and a woman who have to overcome numerous trials and tribulations that test their love and faith in each other. Tickets start at £25.

Cycling Championships 2016

If you’re keen on sports and cycling in particular, why not go and see the best cyclists in the world race it out at 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships at Lee Valley VeloPark. Cyclists will take part in variety of different games including Sprint, Keirin, Scratch Race and Time Trials. Adult tickets at £15 and £10 for concessions.

Virgin Money London Marathon 2016

Go from spectator to participator in the 2016 Virgin Money London Marathon. The marathon is 26.2 miles long and draws over 30,000 participants. You may run to raise money for a personal cause, for fun or to improve your fitness. You can even run dressed up as your favourite animal or superhero and there is chance you may bump into a celebrity. There are no cons to participating, so lace up and get ready to go!

Night at the Museum 2016

Similar to the film but unfortunately nothing comes alive. A large proportion of museums around London take part in this initiative where they open their doors at night and overnight stays offering special events such as treasure hunts, sleepovers and many other fun and enjoyable activities for all ages. A truly unique way to learn about different history and cultures.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016

The world’s greatest flower show takes place in London. The Chelsea Flower Show brings together the finest, brightest and attractive gardens and horticulture displays. If you’re a big fan of all things gardening, then this is not to be missed. The show begins on 24th May and ends on 28th May and tickets sell out pretty quick so book ASAP to avoid missing out!

Royal Ascot 2016

The Royal Ascot is to horse racing what the Chelsea Flower Show is for gardening. Watch the fastest horses take to the course and do battle. This is a very high class event, attended by Her Majesty the Queen…can’t get more Royal than that! The Royal Ascot is also known for spectators wearing fancy hats, so come for that and wear one yourself!


Buckingham Palace Tour

Now that you’ve seen the Queen at the Royal Ascot, why not check out her residence? Imaginably, Buckingham Palace is a lavish royal home containing some of the greatest treasures including paintings from the likes of Rembrandt and Claude, sculptures and the finest furniture from England and France. Moreover, this year there is a special exhibition to be held to celebrate the Queens 90th birthday; a display of the various outfits she has worn throughout her life. Tours are available from July to October.

Open House London

This one’s free so you might as well do it. Even more so, if you’re a fan of architecture. Open House London features over 700 free guided tours, themed walks, cycle rides, debates and activities for all. Learn about the history and culture behind some of the finest structures in and on the outskirts of London.
